The Challenge

JM is a large Swedish construction company and property developer with extensive real estate projects. When JM acquired a larger area with buildings and houses, one of the buildings was to be converted into an office hotel.

The building had three floors with around 50 rooms per floor. The network needed to work both as an included base service for all tenants and as a more isolated network environment for customers with higher security requirements.

The Solution

Webbfabriken installed cabling in the building and built the technical room with switches, firewall and structured network administration. We created a shared network included in the room rent as well as separate VLANs for tenants who wanted extra isolation and higher security.

The solution makes it possible to manage many rooms and tenants in a controlled way. New connections can be assigned correctly from the start and tenants with higher requirements can be placed in their own network segments.

Webbfabriken continues to be responsible for technical operations. We handle connections, changes and technical responsibility when new tenants move in or when rooms need to be adapted.
